Red Sky River

Red Sky River is led by Matt Siegel and Britt Matthews, a creative partnership born in 2024 but built on lifetimes of artistry. Both seasoned performers and writers in their own right, Siegel and Matthews came together with a shared belief that songwriting is a spiritual practice—one that reveals truth, invites connection, and reminds us we’re never alone.

Britt has been writing and singing since childhood, her voice shaped by a poet’s sensibility and a heart for healing. As a published poet and creative recovery advocate, her work explores vulnerability and the wild beauty of being fully alive.

Matt, an accomplished guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, began writing songs at 14, growing up on the sounds of the '90s while drawing deep inspiration from timeless storytellers. His songs aim to be both accessible and profound, inviting listeners to consider the deeper currents of the human condition. He’s shared the stage with members of the Allman Brothers and The Outlaws, and performed alongside artists such as Ray Wylie Hubbard and Robert Randolph Jr.

Together, Red Sky River blends soul-searching lyrics with a genre-defying sound—traversing Americana, folk, blues, gospel, and jazz, while pledging allegiance to none. Their music is rooted in a reverence for truth and a desire to help others feel seen, heard, and connected to something bigger than themselves.
